Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and the professional services provided by Kreativest Literary Services. Individual projects are additionally governed by the written proposal or agreement issued for that project, which takes precedence where the two differ.

We provide editorial, manuscript development, publishing preparation, production, design, branding, marketing and author support services. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline and fee for any engagement are set out in a written proposal agreed before work begins.

Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately rather than absorbed silently.

You retain full copyright and authorship of your manuscript and all material you supply. Nothing in an engagement with us transfers ownership of your work.

For ghostwriting and co-writing engagements, all rights in the delivered text transfer to you on final payment, and we make no claim to authorship credit unless you choose to give it.

Materials we create in the course of a project — cover artwork, interior design files, reports and plans — become yours on final payment, subject to any third-party licences (such as stock imagery or fonts) disclosed at the time.

We treat your manuscript, plans and correspondence as confidential and do not disclose them without your written permission. Our confidentiality obligations continue after a project ends.

Fees are quoted per project in the proposal. Unless otherwise agreed, work begins after acceptance of the proposal and payment of the agreed initial instalment, with the balance due on delivery.

Deposits reserve editorial time and are non-refundable once work has commenced, except where we are unable to deliver.

Each proposal states the number of revision rounds included. Delivery dates are estimates made in good faith and depend on the manuscript arriving in the agreed condition and on timely author feedback.

If a manuscript arrives materially different in length or condition from what was quoted, we will discuss a revised scope before proceeding.

We provide professional editorial and publishing expertise. We do not and cannot guarantee that a manuscript will be represented by an agent, acquired by a publisher, reviewed, awarded, or that a published book will achieve any particular level of sales.

Any figures or examples discussed are illustrative of past work and are not a prediction of your result.

You confirm that work you submit is your own, that you hold the rights to any third-party material included in it, and that it does not infringe the rights of others or contain unlawful content. You are responsible for the accuracy of factual claims in your work unless fact checking is expressly part of the agreed scope.

Either party may end an engagement in writing. Where work has begun, fees are payable for work completed and time reserved up to the date of cancellation, and we will deliver whatever has been completed at that point.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost sales or lost publishing opportunities.
